It may be due in part to the Euro's huge slide vs. the dollar in recent months. With most parts and labor in China, which pegs it's currency to the dollar, the Euro price was due for an increase. In the past year, the Euro has fallen over 20% vs. the dollar. Most companies hold off on price increases or decreases due to currency changes, in part to stabilize market demand and in part because sometimes currency changes are temporary. We Yanks have been sucking it up on imported Euorpean goods for years; sorry it's your turn for a bit. Sorry :(

I have a request to this community: Could someone who is involved with keyboard issues start a new thread? I realize the keyboard changes are indirectly related to the new processors, and which countries are selling them, but it is really hard to get updated on actual processor availability and performance if you have to sift through endless posts about changing keyboards.

    Thanks.

Amazon.de price is still the same! They're listing a 3rd party vendor ( voelkner_direkt_guenstiger), their price - 913.98 EUR - is still the same, with the same :)mad:) 1-2 months availability!

Changing keys is fine, but don't try it with the F11/F12 keys, they have much smaller/more fragile plastic scissor mechanisms due to the space required for the LED under the keys. It will likely break if you remove it.

No need to exchange those since they are the same. Exchanging might be a bit tricky even for an expert but should be possible.

My version is TM2-1110eg not the 2010eg as advertised. It's still a I5, 4gb, 500gb, 5450, and even has a bluetooth and fp reader. 900€ I think is a good price comparing to a cto 9600 with same options which was around 1200$ at hp.

I did some tests and the results are:

Lavalys Everest Ultimate shows the following temperatures:

    1. before the test
    motherboard: 50°C
    Cpu average: 50°C

    2. after 30 min with full diagnostic test
    motherboard: 65°C
    Cpu average: 65°C

    Futuremark 3dmark Vantage
default settings - only vga test
    score: 1266

default settings - only cpu test
    score: 4241

    Futuremark 3dmark 06
    default settings - all tests
    score: 3442

    Passmark Performance test
    all tests running

    score: 760

score on 7300 versions vary from 437-538
    score on 9600 version - 568
score on 4100 version - 603 (this one is a bit off)

Considering the amount of different versions the scores vary and can't be that reliable. My old tx2500z with a rm70 has a score of 518, just for comparison.

I think any other tests will have to wait since the german version of windows is giving me problems.

As for the touchpad, I'm getting used it but the fact that buttons are also touch sensitive and that I can't get past the german settings makes it a bit annoying.

Those are some really high temperatures... on my old tm2, I idle at about 35 ~ 40°C, and when I stress it, it only ever reaches low 50s.

Indeed those temps are quite high.

At this rate I am starting to wonder if the SU9600 isn't the best option right now.
