I need some pictures to figure out , but google cpu temp and you should find out fast.
Is it where the cooler is? or a place near the battery?

Ok, the hp envy series which has the same touchpad is infamous for that , but if you can find the software panel where you can disable the multitouch gestures on it , it should be fine.

I was expecting it to tilt like that, not much you can do about it except improvise.

K, I put original HDD in and found a Recovery Manager: Recovery Disc Creation.

    Doing that now.

Good , I'm going to bed anyway and wake up 4hrs l8er for the apple event.

Seems normal to me, to act like that at full speed. The cooler not only is cooling the cpu but also the chipset and the discrete ati card so I would expect it to be like that. But it might also be because of old drivers on each of those components making them run warm for no reason.

Mine arrived yesterday. I took it to class with me, and still had around 30% battery life after running it on high power for the entire 3 hours (unit has the 1.6ghz processor and the AMD video) HP screwed up on the quality control as it arrived with a small crack in the middle of the screen. They're telling me that they won't be able to build a replacement until 2/15 which means I'll likely get one that is what it should be more than a month after ordering.

On a high note all the Indians I talked to understand what an inconvenience it is so that makes everything ok. /sarcasm.

Try HWmonitor to check your temps: http://www.cpuid.com/download/hwmonitor/HWMonitor_115_setup.exe

Is there any sign of graininess/speckling on the screen of tm2? On my tx2 the speckling is more seen in a white background.

Also, is there any way on the tm2 to show the taskbar on tablet mode when it is in auto-hide?

    I have a 4.9 rating for my zm-84 (2.3ghz) processor.

I'm sure if someone threw in a Intel X25-m In there they could manage to reach 7.9, although my 60gb vertex only hits 7.7 as well :p

Can you disable the finger touch portion of the touch screen, and if so is there an "easy" way to do so such that you could switch it on and off quickly?
