L4D will run great at very high settings and native resolution. I tested L4D2 in my YouTube benchmark and it averaged 33 FPS which is completely playable.

Did anyone try some RTS games, like red alert 3 or Company of heroes?

I tried company of heroes on the TM2 and felt that it was a little difficult. Mainly in scrolling the map and using the right click. But otherwise the game ran great and touch was responsive

You can add Dragon Age to the list. High settings it played smoothly the 15 minutes or so that I played of it.

As a potential purchases, how do you guys get to gaming mode with the ATI instead of the on-board GPU?

I am just concerned because Nvidia now has this Optimus technology, so this raised the issue that all other hybrid GPU laptops have to do stuff like close all running apps, or reboot or something....

It's pretty much handled by the driver automatically. When the unit is plugged in the dedicated GPU is in use by default. When on battery it switcher over to the integrated GPU. However there are applications that will prevent this switch if they are running like IE.

You get a message to this effect and the driver gives you the option to terminate these programs and proceed with the switch.

You can also manually make the switch, there's and option in the Desktop context menu to do this.

Has anyone tried any online games with it yet? I know Wow works since it worked with the previous ATI video card. Any others?

Played the Crysis singleplayer demo at 1280*800, all medium settings:
    Min: 0 (Probably during a checkpoint/save)
    Max: 34
    Avg: 17.440

And here's at 800*600, all very high settings:
    Min: 2
    Max: 11
    Avg: 8.464

Pretty playable at medium, not so much at very high.

    Hi Jkenny
I think I have a similar configuration on my yet to be delivered TM2 and I was wondering if are you still happy with your processor or would/will you return for the quicker 9600? Thanks for the response.
