    cant get this running on win 8, seems its the same issue reported before on win 7. It's running in task manager with high cpu.

    Got it to work in win 7 .

    thanks, the latest works for me on win 8 64bit. Still the long lag when pressing the button on the side, but that's hp driver issue I guess.

    Hi,

    It seems that the program needs to run with admin privileges. Even more, the error when running as user is not handled properly:

    Code:
    Unhandled Exception: System.Management.ManagementException: Access denied
       at System.Management.ManagementException.ThrowWithExtendedInfo(ManagementStatus errorCode)
       at System.Management.ManagementObjectCollection.ManagementObjectEnumerator.MoveNext()
       at TM2Control.MainWindow.GetBrightnessLevels()
       at TM2Control.Program.HandleCmdLineArgs()
       at TM2Control.Program.Main()

    Some functions like en/disable touch works as normal user (-9).

    Chaning the screen resolution does also not require admin rights but the app still crashes when using -6/-7.
    It would be great to fix this, then I could create appropriate shortcuts also as user.

    By the way: Even greater would be to be able to specify the increment for increasing brightness! E.g., if the total brightness is 100, then something like "-b -10" decreases current brightness by 10%, "-b +10" increases current brightness by 10%.

    Thanks a lot!

    It seems that the application fails on Win8 :-(

    When I start with switch "-9", I get "... has stopped working". Details:

    Code:

      Stopped working

    Problem signature:
      Problem Event Name:	CLR20r3
      Problem Signature 01:	tm2control.exe
      Problem Signature 02:	0.0.0.0
      Problem Signature 03:	5193f9f2
      Problem Signature 04:	control
      Problem Signature 05:	1.0.0.0

      OS Version:	6.2.9200.2.0.0.256.48

    Any chance to get this working? Compatibility mode I tried already, of course...
