    Hi,

as i'm proud owner of a HP TM2 since a few days, i realized that there some basic functions (display orientation, volume, brightnes, lock workstation, ...) which are not that easy to access in tablet mode. So I worte a tiny application to access this functions quiet better with my fingers.

Maybe it helps some others as well ;)

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    [Edit]

i made a small Update to TM2 Control and hopefully found the bug where the UI didn't appear.

The new Version is 1.3.3 although the Documentation says it is 1.3.2 but i was to lazy to update this as well ;)

So have fun with the new Release

    [Edit]

i made a small Update to TM2 Control and added the fake EXE File for the Rotate Button on TM2 2xxx Series devices.

And i added a timed shutdown / reboot confirmation which gives you a 5 sec. chance to cancel.
(Thought this would be usefull as i rebooted my device by accident once or twice ;) )

Further on, i added some code for Debuging. If it is requried, just contact me.

    Version 1.3.2:

    • Added timed confirmation dialog for Reboot and Shutdown
    • Added possibility for a trivial Debug output
    • Provided “hacked” HPSCRCTL.exe to use Rotate Button with TM2 2xxx Series

So have fun with the new Release

    [/Edit]

    Hi All,

i made a small Bugfix Update to Version 1.3.1

Hopefully i fixed the minimize Bug of Version 1.3

By the way i made some slight changes for the UAC and added Switch GPU to the Jumplist

I hope this works so far.

    [/Edit]

    [Edit]
    Hi All,

finally i found some time fo some fixes and great improvements.
The coolest improvement by now is, that you can now use the Rotate Button on the Side of your TM2 (currently only working with the 1xxx series) to start TM2 control.
See the Quickstart Guide for further information.

    The following has changed:

    Version 1.3:

    • Fixed the decreasing Volume problem.
    • Fixed Bug that Window is centered between both screens on Multi Monitor Systems.
    • Provided “hacked” bezlACTN.dll to start TM2 Control on Rotate Button press (even more, use on your own risk :p ).
    • Path of the executable is stored in Registry (required for Rotate-Button Hack).
    • If TM2 Control is already running, the running instance will be brought to front on 2nd start.
    • Display the Brand Icon of the currently used GPU on Switch GPU Button.

As usual download via the official homepage.

So have fun with the new Release

    [/Edit]

    [Edit]
    Hi All,

i made a small Bugfix Update to Version 1.2.2

The Volume Bar was going step by step to level 0 on every GUI Update.
As i did not found the source of the problem made the workaround, that the
volume Bar is only updated once, when the window gets active.

I hope this works so far.

    [/Edit]

    ----------------------------------------------------------

    [Edit]
    Hi All,

i'm done with the Update to Version 1.2.1

    So here is the Changelog:

    • Disabled the Timer that checks the System state. Time will only be set to active when the
Window has the focus. This means no Update on Battery, Volume (Mute) if the Window is visible but not active, this will happen when the Window gets the focus. So less CPU usage and hopefully more battery lifetime.

    I hope i works well.

So have fun with it :D

    [/Edit]

    Hi All,

i'm done with the Update to Version 1.2

    So here is the Changelog:

    • Added Button to enable / disable Wifi
    • Added Button to enable / disable Bluetooth
    • Added Button on Battery icon to open the Power Settings.
    • Fixed Bug, that caused an Error Message while switching the GPU
    • Fixed Bug, that the brightness did not return to recent level on auto-dimm

    I hope i works well.

So have fun with it :D

    [/Edit]

    [Edit]

    Hi All,

i'm done with my new release with Version 1.1 of TM2 Control. The following updates have been made:

    • Added Button to start ATI Switch GPU Utility
    • Added Button to enable / disable (Finger)Touch
    • Added Button to reboot the System
    • Moved Mute Button from System Control to the Icon above Volume slider
    • Cleaned up the Jumplist (removed Separators which caused loosing functions)

    [/Edit]

    Download from the official website:

    Home (TM2 Control)

I recommend to take a short look at the Quickstart Guide and Pin the Application to the Taskbar to take advantage of the Jumplist features.

    Greetings

You have been repped. This superb. The orientation alone is great.

One thing you may want to add is a switchable graphics option- I assume this would actally quite hard due to it being ati controlled rather than windows but i'm no programmer! Otherwise flawless.

This is SOOO nice... must have application. Will this work for other tablets as well? All tablet users should have this.

    Pretty Icon too.

Edit: AND YOU USED JUMPLISTS! excellent! (jumplist works by pinning this program to your taskbar, then drag your finger upwards over the icon to make it work.)

Splendid application! I am days away from ordering a TM2 (with the SU9600 and a clean install of 7 on an SSD, of course). I look forward to using it with Touch Control, unless you add that functionality to your already-awesome program!

Works flawlessly on my TX2510, and most likely works on any tablet pc.

This should work with other tablets as long a they are using Windows 7.
And remember you can the access the Jumplist by draging the icon from the taskbar to the desktop. It's much easier the tap&hold :D

As this software was designed to mostly run in tablet mode, switchable touch on/off would be kind of sensless / dangerous i think ;)

Wifi / Bluetooth on / off might be an option but i wasn't my first choice as there is the hardware button to turn it on and off.

First: KUDOS bigtime. Wish there was a HEAP ON REP button, one seems so small for this contribution!

Second: The Wifi/Bluetooth on/off would be excellent to add if you could provide separate access to each...that is something the button does NOT do...It's both or none.

    Keep up the awesome work!

Done, will be in the next release.
I made it easy for me and just made a call to the ATI switch graphic util instead of calling the system function ;)
As i'm not using this functionality very often i guess one can live with those two more clicks to confirm the change.
Maybe if i get a litte more free time i'll dive deeper into the ATI API.

Next i take a look on how i enable / disable wifi / bluetooth.
This could get a bit tougher
