Time stamped youtube video URL's get autoreplaced

    Try it. Remove the space in this link in a reply and you'll find the time stamping is gone.

    Look at your post with edit and you'll see it has been wrapped with a generic media tag and the time stamping is gone.

    Wasn't like this in years past.

    Can this be changed? Is there a way around this? Asking people to remove a space loses the immediacy of the time stamp

    I suggest you use something like tinyurl if you want to get the link embedded with the timestamp. Our forum software will automatically turn this into a MEDIA tag and put the video in it otherwise.

    Yes, that's what you should do if you need to use a timestamp in something.
