    Very cool!

I was watching the Adobe MAX keynotes ("Desktop Apps" video) and I noticed something very interesting when watching Michael Ninnis demo the touch UI of Illustrator...at 15:08 you can see there almost zero hover lag with pen when placing anchor points.

Do you know if MS also improved the polling rate on the pen or is this aspecial optimization on Adobe's part?

I'm wondering if the complete lack of acknowledgement of a jitter problem by anyone in a relevant official position points to it being a limitation of the hardware. I'm guessing this is the case, unfortunately.

The jitters won't appear in the early strokes so I guess it's fully related to hardware.
I have tested many faulty Sony/Microsoft N-Trig tablets, and all of them were OK in the first strokes but after playing with them for about 1 minutes, the jitters would show up. I don't know whether it is related to static electricity or the digitizer layer getting warm, but they are worse after couple of minutes.

Oh dear... Wacom/N-Trig/Microsoft/Samsung... Why can't you all just get along?

Imagine how much less crappy all your devices would be if you weren't all jockying for the pole position, (which none of you will ever get).

    Seriously. What a bunch of 5 year-olds.

I could be working right now with a good stylus (Wacom) on an awesome 15" IPS screen (Samsung), with a powerful yet affordable computer (Microsoft).

Sorry, N-Trig. You kind of just plain don't make good equipment.

The only thing holding me back from SP3 is N-Trig, while the only thing holding me back from Helix 1/2 is 16:9. It would be pretty frustrating if I wasn't so content with my X220T (despite the 16:9...screen is large enough to not matter).

Interesting to me that if you install it on a Pro 2, it says "coming soon". Not sure what features they would put in it for the Pro 2 though.
