Lenovo needs to get their act together. I swapped IMs with my Lenovo sales rep two weeks ago and he had no idea when this product would be available. Today, not available for order from their own website, but 'Scott's Electronics Shop' has it available for resale on Amazon. :vbconfused:

Lenovo does need to get their act together... i probably would have gotten the 2016 oled x1 yoga in 2016 but it wasn't available for 90% of the year, so i could never move on it. the X1 yoga 2nd gen was supposed to be here in march... its now may and nothing.... makes it really hard to actually want any of lenovo's devices when they are not available when they are announced, and by the time you can actually buy them, they are outdated.

Hey, at least the outdated X1 Yoga 2017 will have Thunderbolt ports, unlike some other as yet unreleased shiny new gadget. :)

I do appreciate that design decision, and yes I'm being hyperbolic.. but I would be willing to bet that the model I would actually want (iris 640 graphics / oled) won't be available to customize until November.

Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat and you're probably right.

There is nothing new under the sun at Lenovo. I've been looking at options to replace my trusted X230T since 2014 roughly. And every year since has seen the same circus: an annoucement of a new machine "for march" or "in early spring" at CES, then no communication for months, then finally some limited availability in the fall. Wash, rinse, repeat.

If I were to buy this, before even getting a new docking station I'd already be out $2800 before tax (i7, 16GB, 1TB SSD, OLED, WinPro). I especially like the note: "You save: $0" :)
