@koz2050 wait for X1 Yoga Kaby Lake-R update with quad-core CPU. It might replace your P50 completely if you don't do graphics-intensive work, or add an eGPU to it.

Oh if I only had that much patience!!

Quad-core X1 just very well might. I tried with the Gen 1 but running a couple of VM's just had the fan going constantly and couldn't stand it really.

I do like my battleship sized Thinkpads, but they are not fun to travel with too much.

Has anyone gone from an OLED to LCD model? I've been using the OLED for a couple of days now and it's nice and all, but the glare is just really well, glary. Not used to that on my devices and causes quite a bit of strain. I am getting used to it though and constantly adjust the angle of the screen to minimize it. I'm worried I might be getting spoiled without realizing it! If I went to a regular X1 do you think I'd notice? Would it be comparable to compare my P50 4k whatever screen to the high res Yoga version?

Dual-core CPU, 8GB RAM, dim display... Even newer L380 Yoga will run circles around it, not to mention X380 Yoga and new X1 Yoga. Hell, same-gen Thinkpad Yoga 370 has much brighter display and upgradeable RAM, starting at 700$.

I'm just curious. I've seen you across the board buying and trying multiple machines. Are you a chronic purchaser-returner? Don't stores and credit cards flag you for that type of behavior?

Oh really? I would classify this place as a "danger zone", at least far as feeding our addictions. :p

Let your addiction run wild :p. I was just curious because buying and returning devices all the time just to test them out seems wrong.
