Really strange but didn’t hear anything from Lenovo on this particular model at CES 18 unless gone unveiled couple of weeks or months later.:vbconfused::vbeek:

    Or simple not existing.

Only time will show us eventually.:)

Edit:New info came out and most of the case we will see a third generation X1 Tablet.

Lenovo announces new active stylus to take on Surface Pen

    https://mspoweruser.com/lenovo-announces-new-active-stylus-to-take-on-surface-pen/

This new Lenovo Pen Pro will be compatible with upcoming ThinkPad X1 Tablet (3rd Gen) and ThinkPad X1 Yoga (3rd Gen) devices. Lenovo is expected to announce more details on these new devices next week”

The new Pen Pro will support 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and tilt sensing for natural writing and sketching. Lenovo claims that the Pen Pro will offer 156 hours continual usage of battery life and it can be charged by universal USB-C plugs.

There’s also a three configurable shortcut button to enhance productivity and it can be customized through Windows Pen feature and Pen App. Lenovo is also offering three extra pen tips for free.

It also features a significantly boosted price: "The ThinkPad X1 Tablet 3rd generation ships in March and starts at $1,599."

Man, if this thing had Wacom EMR, I'd be all over this like hotcakes, even without the dgpu.

Unfortunately, with AES (which I still haven't been able to test, f u too local Best Buy) and no dgpu, I'm pretty hesitant on this. But less hesitant than I'd normally be since the Switch 7 and the Zbook x2 are both proving to be significant compromises so far.

Wait, this doesn't charge via usb-c, does it? Because that is an absolute deal killer for me.

It says on the spec sheet "65W USB-C DC Adapter".

So wait, what happened to the two-year wait plan for ZBook x2? :p Have you switched wanting a machine sooner?

The Lenovo Pen Pro specs state, in addition to tilt:

"There’s also a three configurable shortcut button to enhance productivity and it can be customized through Windows Pen feature and Pen App. Lenovo is also offering three extra pen tips for free."

Which is actually more barrel buttons than on any EMR device except Wacom's announced Pro Pen 3D. Especially with Samsung move to single-button "Air Command" pens, Steadtler with zero buttons, maybe switching the AES might be worth it just for the pen customization. ;)

Curious to see how screen quality compared to the Surface line.
