    New to this forum ..
    So ... I have a Thinkpad 10 fully loaded .
Nice device ..and thought I would never need to upgrade .
I also have an IPad Pro and between the two I am complete .

    Or so I thought ..
This Thinkpad X1 is the tablet I have been waiting for .
    Battery module , Core m - fanless , Larger screen ,
Nicer Wacom ES stylus , 1TB and 16 GB configurations ...

I only wish the Productivity module had Full SD card slot .

And am hopeful for a Graphics card module with extra Battery ... It's not impossible as the Surface Book did it .

I prefer win 8.1 , but I hear Driver Support is available .

I know the price would be ridiculous , but it has all the bells and whistles in a small form factor that is fanless .

So I wait and Save up $$$ for this dream machine

Welcome to the forum. The X1 tablet looks great. The two things going against it for me are the lack of a silo and the fact that it's a bit heavier than its competitors, see the screenshot below. Other than that though it ticks all the boxes.

In fact, after discovering the 4 hour outdoor battery life of my iPad Pro 12.9 and the lack of an eraser on the Pencil, the X1 tablet is beginning to look pretty attractive to me again!

same thing in US too. Ordered on Mar 23rd, original estimated ship date was April 20th, estimated ship day updated to May 3rd today. It's a way too long waiting for a thinkpad fan. Thinking to switch to X1 yoga, but where is the OLED screen?

Aspect ratio (width divided by height), and grams per square inch, so "device weight per screen area".

    Agreed on the weight .
I was really hoping for the 'mythical' Elitepad G3 with core M skylake and new pen tech to go with their existing Productivity Jacket ....but HP disappoints

This is the closest to a fully loaded CoreM skylake device I have seen ,except for the HP elite X2 ... But the Battery module is what matters , as you discover BATTERY LIFE is CRUCIAL no matter what .

    I can't wait for a true 15Hrs- 12Hrs Windows Device

    Thinkpad 10 , Helix 2 , Miix 700 , now this ... Good job Lenovo !
Now make me a Surface Book Clone !

Hi All, just got notification that mine's sent out from Kunshan, China. Should be delivered next week hopefully. It's 2 weeks earlier than anticipated. Original ship date was May 11th or something.
