That's a plus, but then their kickstand is of the photo frame variety, which I anticipate will work badly in terms of (to use another favorite buzzword) lapability. So it's got a great screen for media viewing, but cannot be used comfortably on the couch, or so it seems. I do like the look of that thing all open on a desk though, as well as the look of running a newspaper through the printing presses / past the fold. :)

According Anandtech, it's actually considerably thicker unfolded:

    "Dimensions
    299.4 x 236.0 x 11.5 mm open
    158.2 x 236.0 x 27.8 mm folded"

Also, can someone explain how something (symmetrical) can get thicker than twice its unfolded thickness, when folded? Is it adding the keyboard?

It looks like there is a gap when folded.

That gap is to accommodate the keyboard when closed, unlike the Neo that attaches magnetically to the outside.

I think Lenovo measure it without the case...

Probably also to avoid straining the flame screen too much

Ps: That was supposed to read "flexible screen"

I need to apologize for my usual hair-trigger sarcasm - the base ThinkPad X1 Fold is only $500 more than a Galaxy Z Fold 2 - that is a pretty good engineering trick, and marvel, in the same suit.

But you can still get a phone and laptop for less...

Even though it's not a tablet PC, I'm kinda interested as well. Samsung has come close, but I'm beginning to loose hope in finding a convertible that nails everything for me and am wondering if I'd be better off getting a super light laptop that nails the basics (display/keyboard/performance) while bringing my iPad for drawing.

I noticed that shipping was said to be five weeks out when visiting their website. If that is because I cam from a Japanese IP I don´t know. Watched the launch on YT and it does look yummy. Now mama needs a new sugardaddy.
