Might pull the trigger on the Helix 2 + Keyboard Pro, as the Surface 3 or Thinkpad Tablet are expensive!

True, but the Helix 2 looks to have a faster SSD and faster graphics, so maybe a trade off? And the 5Y71 on the Helix 2 is no slouch. And what configuration of each are we looking at?
Of course I post as one who doesn't own a Helix 2, but it seems to me that Ultra99 would be very happy with one of the many Core M devices on the market right now, include the Helix 2. Any Core M should be a huge step up from any atom and should handle OneNote and PDFs fine.

These brands are hit or miss. Plus, probably no/irrelevant warranty and will take forever to reach.

If I read how people here talk about their problems with Dell, Lenovo,HP etc I'm not really sure you are better of with them.

I have a few Thinkpads, so I'm not against Lenovo.

    But to each his own.

All of the Chinese tabs I've looked into have poor wifi and can't even pick up a 5ghz signal. So that's a non-starter for me and probably for most. Iirc that was the case with the earlier Cube stylus models, but maybe they have upgraded that with the new Mix plus? Doubt it.

The new Cube tablets come with an Intel Wireless AC 3165.
Piking up my 5GHz wifi just fine.
