I'm excited to check it out too. Hoping the i3 and lower RAM in the $1K model won't be too much of a detriment. I've tried to get hold of an i3 SP3 from Microsoft but haven't had any luck.

Seeing that the Acer Aspire Switch 11 is ~$600 is very interesting too. I wish these companies would get SurfaceProArtist.com on their review unit radar! This passion project is unsustainable!

    Haha, I can imagine that!

I guess the artist's sweet spot i5 8GB ram is out of question, then?

What I'm most curious about is how the Core M processor fares in this Helix - my use of a Yoga 3 Pro wasn't too promising in that regard, but a few updates actually made it noticeably faster and more capable of handling more demanding tasks.

Real eager to see that review...

The fact that this latest version of the PSREF document is emblazoned across the front with "Novermber 2014" doesn't exactly give one confidence about Lenovo's quality control...

And, on another note, the "Novermber" document confirms that the gen 2 Helix does not have a GNSS chip fitted. So unless you get a Helix with WWAN, you aren't going to have GPS capability.

NFC is optional; not all models will have it, and none of the models listed in the current US PSREF document have it.

Its a very limited release, like the Thinkpad Yoga 14 is as well, missing many options that will be there in the future. For the whole "goodness", I guess we will have to wait for February.
