The X1 yoga second gen has a magnet on it left side of screen!

    A very weak one. At least mine does. I was quite shocked.

    Face the screen, grab the middle left side of it. That's where the magnet is on mine.

    What's it for?

    I am right now dangling a surface pro 4 pen off the left side. It's too loose to be useful and in fact worthless because there is a pen stored in the X1 yoga and worthless because the sp4 pen does not even work with the X1 yoga.

    Manufacturers have moved to magnets instead of latches to keep device closed (so there is resistance opening, so it doesn't open in bag or something). There is likely another magnet, or metal strip for it to attach to on the base
