Windows 11 kind of reminds me of this year's Super Bowl halftime entertainment lineup - catering to a younger hipper crowd - just not to my taste...where are McCartney, Beach Boys, Lionel Ritchie, Stones, Bon Jovi, Stevie Wonder...you know, REAL music...

 guess that is a bit like comparing Windows 11 to XP

Yeah man, where's my DRM-free LP.

(an LP is a longplay record made of cast vinyl, where you drag a pressure sensitive needle through corrugated grooves to reproduce sound. Fancy stuff.)

Well, I guess I'm old and not 'hip'* anymore.

*that is what the youngsters say nowadays, right?

So we need to either retitle this the Windows 10/11 app store is bad or perhaps start a new thread.

I just updated my son's Go 2 and my wife's HP to 11 with the update assistant.

Other than the HP's display resolution being all out of whack after reboot (the Go 2 had zero issues), everything went fine.

However, went in through the store to manage account/devices and both systems are still listed as Windows 10, and this was viewing it from her HP.

    Seriously MS?

Note that if you read the reviews of the Store app (because you're curious if everybody hates it as much as you do), you see positive reviews from people reviewing the Win11 store. So somehow the two store apps are presented in the two stores as versions of the same app. I think

    https://amazon.com/dp/B09D9YS58W

256GB Duo Uno, AT&T locked, refurbished ("works and looks like new"): $350

It makes me wish I could think of a good use case for it. If I had one it would be worth it just as a very cool wifi gadget. Alas, my rationalization (TPCR) powers fail me. Even as an ereader, I know I'll instead use the new Paperwhite arriving Wednesday.

So I list it here for others with more TPCR Force powers than I.
