What happened to your XPS 12 that needs it to be repaired? Cracked screen?

Whats the best way to upgrade the ssd? Can i just put it in and boot with a usb (attached to C to A adapter) in bios with a flash drive outfitted with a bootable windows 10? Also will a Crucial MX300 525GB M.2 SSD work? its not listed as compatible with the crucial advisor tool but i cant see why it wouldn't be.

Yes the screen cracked. I have no idea how it happened and that makes me a little leary of it. I used it at night and then closed it on the keyboard dock. Took it off the dock the next morning and noticed a crack running from the upper left to the lower right.

That's not actually true. Windows 8 and 10 use different methods for using the built in GPS and don't offer legacy support for the COM ports required for older GPS apps. There is a company that wrote a driver that communicates with the GNSS sensor, and they sell it for cheap:

You'll need to buy/try the Localizer 5 application, it works perfectly for me with Streets & Trips 2013. Gives me a virtual COM port that works with older mapping programs

By the way those who have the pen along with this unit, seeing that it is similar design to the Dell Latitude 7275, anyone have issues where the pen does not work when the tablet is plugged in?

Hello everyone. Can someone confirm whether the XPS 12 9250 supports NVMe SSDs? I saw many posts in this thread that folks were going to research it but I didn't see any results. Thank you in advance.

At only 2x, it does not have all 4 lanes available.
