    1. What is your budget?
    Preferably under $1400

    2. Would you consider purchasing used/refurbished?
Preferably New but no problem with the Certified Refurbished one.

    3. Do you prefer a media/mobile tablet like the iPad, Windows tablet PC, or notebook convertible?
It will replace my current laptop and also I like to have a tablet. So, the convertible laptop with an effective stylus pen is my choice.

    4. What size would you prefer?
    13-15 inches

    5. How many hours battery life do you require?
The more the better. Not under 10 hours.

    6. What software and tasks do you intend to run?
I use Lightroom a lot. Also, Microsoft Office and many audio programs.

    SCREEN SPECIFICS
    1. Any preference on screen resolution?

    4K

    2. Will you be using the tablet outdoors? Do you need to be able to see it through glare from the sun?
    Preferably

    3. Do you require a pen? With or without pressure sensitivity? Do you prefer Wacom EMR, AES or N-trig?
Yes, with pressure sensitivity. Not sure which technology is best for extended writing.

SPEED & PERFORMANCE PLUS OTHER SPECIFICS

    1. What Processor / size Hard Drive / Memory do you require?
    Core i7 / not less than 512SSD / 16GB RAM

    2. What sort of inputs do you require, if any? Would you like full-sized USB and SD card slots?
    Do you require HDMI inputs?

    SD card and HDMI input

    * Additional requests ~ Design and build quality are quite important.

Look no further than Lenovo Yoga 720 15 with NVidia GTX 1050.

thnx for your reply and help.

I was wondering about the hp Spectre x360 15 inch?
I know it's more than my budget but do you think that I can find a cheaper refurbished one (not more than $1400)???

I don't know much about the HP, but I do know it doesn't have a quad core HQ processor.

Just be aware that no 15" 2 in 1 will have battery life exceeding 10 hours. You will get 5 hours or so with the Yoga 720 15 which is as good as it gets with that CPU/GPU combo. 1080p screen will do better, 4K version will be worse than that.

So, you mean it will be better to choose a 15 inch one?

Depends on the spec. 15-inchers generally sport beefier batteries, but power hungry hardware like a quadcore cpu and gaming-grade gpu will make short work of that. What Shogmaster meant was that going with 1080p display over 4k one will give you more time to spend away from the socket; you won't be getting 10+ hours, regardless.

I haven't run extensive battery tests with my Yoga 720 15 but I'm pretty sure I'm doing better than five hours. I'll try to confirm this weekend. Much depends on power configuration, naturally.
