Is it me or is the R1's fan constantly on? My last hp only had it kick in when it started sweating, but the R1 seems hungry to be cool. I know Paris has said of the R1, "That's hot" - quote, unquote (she got confused with the term lap top) - but it's not hot getting anything within 10cm of the right side of it being charred, including my hand. Not to mention the constant wirl, and the inevitable battery drain.

Look forward to all your cool responses.

i do find it runs a lot more than my w3j.

if i'm just typing and stuff, it stays on low...but anything intensive and then it will kick into high.

I find that modern notebooks get very hot, and cannot effectively cool themselves. You might want to get an external cooler if the heat is intolerable.

Excessive heat is related to excessive stress on the computer - games, photo/video editing, and other intensive tasks will ramp computer usage and create the heat.
