Is Haswell an SOC or another generation of the i series?

Another generation of i series, but lower power than Ivy Bridge.

Thanks schnabe, that's what I thought. I read somewhere it won't support connected standby.

No problem. From what I read Intel is claiming 10 days of connected standby with Haswell. I guess we'll see!

So I went to disable this service, and it was already stopped. I wonder why. I guess that explains why some of the hotkeys stopped working.

Here's what works and doesn't when the service is stopped:

Works: volume, monitor toggle, brightness, airplane mode, sleep.

    Doesn't: touchpad, Bluetooth, wifi.

If it doesn't work to contact Asus, then write to Microsoft about Asus not releasing drivers. Express you disappointment with their latest tablet. Maybe Microsoft will read and press Asus to release drivers.

HP have removed the driver package that I originally posted and have replaced with an older one which does not update the driver. I will be posting a Lenovo one soon which will.
