Got a hold of ASUS Support in NZ yesterday and I have been asked to return all items (Tablet and Dock). Guess it will be a few weeks now.....

    Ha, the new status is
Product was repaired OK and is now packed ready for shipping or pick up.

However, there is a note in the last column with the old and the new serial numbers. Pretty sure if the repair required a new serial number, then it wasn't "repaired OK", LOL

Update on my experience with Asus.

Their repair facility has database issues, or something, so they weren't really able to tell me realtime what was happening with my tablet.

I finally got my tablet back today and low and behold I got a brand new one. I guess whatever was wrong with the tablet was unfixable. They told me next to nothing during the process, but I guess I'm happy enough to get a new tablet back. I do wish there was someway they could have transferred my HD to my new tablet, as I've lost some files, but nothing too terrible.

1 hour in and the new tablet is working fine.

    Hopefully it stays that way.
I got word mine has been shipped from CA. I sent it to TX just a week ago. Guess I'm getting a new one too.

To the people with dead TF810 units: Did any of you update the set of drivers as per the suggestions in another thread on this board?

I have ordered mine and the first thing I was going do would be updating all of the drivers. Now I don't know if updating the drivers might cause the dead unit problem or maybe prevent it.

Sounds like you will be getting a new one. I also sent mine to TX and it got shipped from San Jose. Luckily I live in the area so I just went and picked it up, or else it would have taken another week for some reason.
