When i read i read 13.3" i thought cool, 12" is a bit too small and 14" is a bit too heavy. But then i saw widescreen and my heart sunk. Who needs widescreen on a tablet? It isn't for multimedia, and then nobody writes on legal format paper.

There is apparently a space for the widescreen design as the Gateway CX200 has quickly gained popularity. However, I agree that a 13" Tablet PC display would be a great size.

Excited about the Asus, and 13" compromise.
    Questions:
    1. The opening sentence lists screen size at 13.1", but specs list it (twice) as 13.3" -- which one?
    2. Specs list Yonah processor -- will this be dual core, or "Core Solo" ?
    3. Any idea on the GPU?
    4. Any idea on month of release date? If not, then relatively soon, or in-spring-but-closer-to-summer?

Asus seems to do well with integration, I'm definitely interested in this one.

The release date is set for Q2 of 2006 so that'd be after March and best guess would be the April/May time frame.

For what it's worth, I was informed today by an ASUS sales rep that the R1F won't be available until later Summer - Q3.

Hmm. Perhaps the R1F release will be aligned with Vista's.
