    Hi all,

I'm looking for a tablet PC that I can take with me on my travels for (primarily) video editing. This entails transferring the footage from the video camera to the PC, editing, creating transitions and rendering, rotoscoping/creating graphics and finally burning onto DVD. Weight is not so important, long battery life is not crucial, but certainly desirable. A "nice to have" would be modular design, so devices in bays can be swapped, e.g. swap DVD for extra battery or hard disk.

I guess the requirements are pretty hefty...

    - large/fast hard disk
    - fast processor
    - lots of memory (min 1GB)
    - fast graphics processor
    - quality (hi res) screen
    - built-in DVD burner
    - IEEE 1394 (Firewire) interface

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Pete.

Without a doubt, a customized Toshiba M4 is the closest to address the majority of your needs.
