And already on Best Buy's site A bit pricey, but not as bad as some sites predicted https://www.bestbuy.com/site/samsung-galaxy-tab-s6-10-5-128gb-mountain-gray/6357007.p?skuId=6357007 PS: Purely speculative on my part, but the 855 is Windows on ARM capable. So in theory it should be able to be hacked to run Windows. Secure boot may be what's missing though. Edit : fixed the link
There's supposedly a "Galaxy Book S" coming out soon. It's unclear which processor but supposedly an 855 running Windows on ARM. I'm more interested in the rumored Qualcomm 8cx and was hoping it would be on the S... but perhaps it will appear on a Galaxy Book 3??
Possibly. Early in the year we heard rumor/speculation that Samsung was going to bring the Tab S Pro line back but then not much followed. OTOH we've also heard there is a Galaxy Book 3 coming out around CES allegedly with the new Snapdragon 1000 platform. Hmm.....
Agreed with sentiments expressed. This looks to be a nice design generally though I'm wondering how the pen on the back works. Supposedly they updated DEX with this device. My experience with my daughters S4 was that Dex was a good idea only passably implemented and extremely lacking in 3rd party support. In fact if anything some of that support has gone backward with something like Netflix, which hardly works at all under DEX. OTOH the MS office apps work great with DEX. Interesting to see what comes when the XDA folks get hold of this. Ours should be here in early September.
Learning that Krita is coming to Android has piqued my interest in this tablet considerably I have to say...
How do you like Krita compared to something like ProCreate. I know they aren't exactly the same. Also what platform have you used it on?
On Linux. I haven't looked at ProCreate forever, having weaned myself away from Apple years ago. For an example of Krita's capabilities, have a look at David Revoy's work. https://www.davidrevoy.com/
