Hey guys, I don't have a video but I am starting to see RANDOMLY horizontal lines that show up on the LCD. It doesn't matter what I am doing - it looks like it is hardware related and not caused by any programs.

Anyone experience this or know what may be causing it?

I took the laptop apart as well as the screen to check the LCD cables - all snugly in place.

never seen that before! If you hook up an external monitor and set it to be your only screen will the problem still manifest itself? If it did for some reason that would rule out the screen itself. Did you update your graphics driver recently?
How often do they show up?

Lines on the display are also often an indicator for a faulty GPU.
Do like stoneseeker suggested, hook it up to an external display and see if the lines are still appearing.

Ah, I have not hooked it up yet, but let me try that today and let you know what happens. Should have been the first thing I did.

looks like its the LCD, hooked it up to an external display and no lines. Not in a hurry to replace it as it occurs usually when I start it up and goes away after that.

okay - no idea where to get a proper screen for less than an arm and a leg...here was a quick tear-down, looks like it is two pieces. The digitizer and the actual LCD, only problem is trying to figure out if it is a bad cable or the actual LCD? :(

I am getting lines across the screen, flickering with gray screens, etc... it is bad and is happening more often now.

Oh wow, that is a good price! Something funny though, I reattached everything, problem still existed. Restarted the machine and it hasn't shown its face ever since!
