I finally found a place where I could actually try both the t4220 and the lenovo x61. I liked the fujitsu better overall because I prefer the touchpad and I felt that the keyboard setup was easier to use (maybe because its widescreen). However, I much preferred the X61s screen as a writing surface, as it is textured and felt as if I were writing on paper. The t4220 felt as if I were writing on glass.
Does anyone use a screen protector with the t4220 that makes for a better writing experience?
    THANKS!!

I have yet to actually manage to apply one before becoming too frustrated with my lack of ability to remove the bubbles. If I do i shall let you know.

I don't know if this applies for large areas but, when I put protectors on my smaller screens they give me a piece of cardboard to slide along the protector as you merge it with the surface. Bubbles drive me up the walls too. So just easing it on and smoothing out the surface with the cardboard a little at a time really helps.
