So, my T4210 is expected to arrive tomorrow and I had wanted to know if I should do anything to it right away. What I mean by this is, should I delete any programs, install any "must-have" programs, format the HD, etc...
    Thanks for all the help!

Your tablet should arrive ready for use...
No need to reformat or anything.

You may however want to install some of the software that comes with the tablet like MS OneNote which the US & Canadian buyers get.

Download all of the updates for MS Windows and MS OneNote (comes preinstalled in the US, you just have to enter the key code which is on the MS Works CD cover) so you'll be a bit safer. I'd also suggest getting ride of the trial wares that you're not going to be using. There will be one cd with some extra programs from Fujitsu like Roxio that you can also install. Then defrag your HD and have fun with your new tablet!

As a UK purchaser I would have given my right arm to have a FREE copy of OneNote in my T4210 bundle...
My demo is soon to expire.

    You lucky, lucky, lucky guys.....

I guess it's a trade off for both countries.

US gets that and a restore CD of the factory image of the OS, while the UK gets the genuine copy of Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005.

So, for us here, I would have given my right (err...wait my left, not my dominant one!) arm for that copy of XP TE2005! ;)

We do get restore discs but we still have the right to ask for a Windows disc

If you got your T4210 in the US you should get a CD in a paper cover. In there is a MS Works cd and on the back are keys to OneNote and MS Office. If you didn't get it try calling Fujitsu's tech support and they might send you a copy.

:) Yes, I did think of that AFTER I had made my 'touche' post above, which is directly as as you put it, you do at least get some way of controlling the OS whereas the UK don't get any form of OneNote.
