Here is another newbie question from someone considering a t4020...Does anyone know what type of DVD burner Fujitsu uses in the T4020? Their $300 price seems kind of steep for a DVD burner. It would be nice to know if an $80 NEC slimline burner would fit in this machine.

If you are talking about the DVD drive that fits in the bay, you have to go with a Fujitsu OEM drive.

Or customize one, the bezel on something like the NEC just won't fit.

Thanks for the info. Is the bezel the only issue, are the connecters all the same? I noticed that the DVDRW is $249 if you order it separatly from their accessory site compared to $300 when you order the PC.

I think the connectors are the same, but you'll need to check with someone who's done it, or a reseller like Portable One, who has more specific knowledge on this.
