Does anyone know if the T2020 uses a TN or PVA panel? The review here says it has a "great view angle," but is the view angle at least as good as the Lenovo X200t (which reportedly has a PVA panel)?

I don't know exactly what type of display Fujitsu uses, but they definitely don't use a TN display, because the Fujisu displays have wide viewing angles, and a TN display has very limited viewing angles.
To be honest, I can't tell you the angle I have to tilt the display until I see a difference in the image, it's impossible for me.

I don't know about T2020, but T2010 uses the best panel ever created for a notebook (even better than Samsung PVA panel used in X200t). The panel is BOEHydis Hv121wx6

Thanks for your responses. Sounds good to me.

My new T2020 should arrive next week.

since viewing angle is 89/89 for both V/H direction i am positive that it is an IPS unit. i believe only ips does that, and it has a 18bit interface too :)

add: nm... 18bit is just the normal 262k color :(

very unfortunate to hear thinkpad x200t uses a mva panel :(

In fact, the panel of T2010/T2020, I am currently using T2010 :), is the widest display angle display panel I saw so far. You can clearly see the screen content at any angle.

I agree the T2020 display is among the best, if not the best, for a tablet PC. But it's still a bit of a stretch to say you can "clearly see the screen content at any angle." If I lay it flat on a desk/table, I find I still need to sit up straight and look down on the display. I guess I'm spoiled by the eInk display on my Kindle - I won't be canceling my Kindle-DX order after all, even though I plan to use it strictly as a PDF viewer.
