that sucks sounds like windows is just acting up again...

perhaps its the graphics drivers...but wait that wouldn't make sense since intel gma is integrated...id still try to reinstall the graphics drivers...

Are you sure that is the setting option? It does not work for me.

It might be another setting then, as I have disabled a few things in the performance pane.

    I have the following unchecked,
Animate windows when minimizing and maximizing
Fade or slide menus into view
Fade or slide ToolTips into view
    Fade out menu after clicking
    Show shadows under menus
    Show shadows under mouse pointer
    Slide Taskbar buttons

None of those settings work. Perhaps you have something else disabled elsewhere? Can someone else shed light on this?

possibly try increasing the Videoram in the Bios to 256. under advanced/misc. With your 2 gigs of ram you shouldn't loose much Processing power. Also, try Killing Some of those unwanted processes. OR Removing items from the tray. and the only other thought Ive got is maybe increase virtual memory to double the size of your system memory. Ive get 2 gigs As well And my Vmem is set to 3055 to 4096.

Hmm. So does anyone know how to disable the slide effect with systray icon hide feature?
