    <<...sorry. I don’t use adobe...>>

Unfortunately, me neither. However, with regard to your second question, my initial impression is that the Slim 2 seems every bit as good as the Pencil 2 in Procreate.

I installed the trial of Fresco and it works great...no feedback though, I had as much control as Procreate.

Thanks, I’m really particular about IAF…With the Apple Pencil or Cintiq pens you just brush the screen to make a mark, as you can with a soft pencil on paper.

    Or maybe Krita?

sorry. Sketchable and paint.net are the only apps of that type I use.

Yes, IAF is very light, I did the above with the pencil, made a very light outline and filled in the same way if I was using a pencil and paper.

I ended up getting the Slim Pen 2 on Amazon to use with my Pro X, I wanted to see if the lighter activation force made a difference for my primarily note-taking usage. It actually surprises me how much of a difference it makes, it just feels more effortless.

Getting the firmware update to be able to charge the pen though is another story. After a lot of trial and error I ended up having to switch my Pro X to Insider Release Preview to get it to offer up the necessary hardware update.

But I'll be keeping it, I like it even more than the original Slim Pen (which I didn't necessarily have problems with, this one is just a lot better).

Re: IAF on the Slim Pen 2- I tested it at Best Buy, and literally if I dragged it on the screen, applying no pressure, it made a very fine line just with the weight of the pen itself. It was actually a lower IAF than my spen on my Galaxy Book Flex, which is quite low. I don't know what it would be like to draw with it all day, but in terms of IAF, it's very very nice.

Anyone tried it with Adobe Illustrator? I briefly had a Pro 4 or 5 (I forget which now) and it had a lot of trouble recognizing when I was putting anchor points in. It drove me crazy. That, in addition to the high iaf caused me to return it. I loved the rest of the hardware though so I've been rooting for MS to improve the pen.

    Which software were you using?

I tried it at JB HI-FI today, using FreshPaint and 3D Paint and Leonardo.

It's much improved over previous pens, but I still found the IAF to be higher than Apple Pencil and Wacom Cintiq pens.

It feels to me about the same as the IAF on my Galaxy Note 9 S Pen.
