Could someone weigh the SPX with keyboard and pen for comparison purposes?

Looks like the touch indicator. Some conflict with the touch driver? Interesting bug.

NOPE - just wanted to verify that my HP Spectre X360 is only 7 ounces heavier, and LIGHT YEARS BETTER, than a SPX...:p

Well I returned the Pro x yesterday which is a first for me with a surface device.

I don't want to get in to a long diatribe about various issues with the Prox other that in total, factoring in the price AND the fact that I already have a iPad pro 11, I just couldn't justify keeping it.

I will say that in the broadest sense, the Pro X is the epitome of MS's approach to tablets for good and for bad and I'd say the same about the iPad Pro.

The shortest response I can give is that they both reflect very different philosophies . e.g the iPad Pro is a tablet first that can occasionally sub in for a laptop and the Pro X is laptop first with hopes of being a tablet.

And that was ultimately the deal killer for me with the Pro x. I use my tablet capable devices probably 75% of the time as a tablet and 25% as a laptop substitute. And in that scenario, things like native app support like the kindle app or just much better implementation in the case of the Netflix and Hulu apps on iPad became really prominent when comparing the two side by side.

Thus I think the challenge for MS, because it's clear to me that the Pro X more than any previous device is one that MS wants to push as a tablet first.

If the iPad didn't exist, or for that matter even to a degree the very latest 2 in ones from HP and Dell, I'd probably feel differently, but at this point in time it's just not enough different or more importantly, better in any significant aspect, to justify owning one.

I hope that will change especially in both WOA as platform and that MS will once again focus on the tablet UI like they did with Windows 8
