Yes to this! And why I'm such an advocate for native apps vs better X86 emulation.

Again using one of the apps I mentioned previously that we ported from X86 to ARM 64
    Battery -x86 emulation- 4.25 hours
Battery- ARM 64 native 7.75 hours

Again the app in question is a highly specialized single purpose app so the comparison only directly applies in a like to like way. And this was also the only app/task running on the machine other than Windows itself.

PS: We did ask about an intel based Pro x and the response was that if you put a core i5 or 7 in the pro X enclosure it would melt in less than an hour

EDIT: PPS: we have also heard speculation that MS though about using a core M in an X style enclosure but that was killed off

I've been using the SPX for my daily driver for the past few days, Office 365, Outlook open all day, Teams PWA including enterprise voice, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, DrawboardPDF and OneNote for inking.

I'm getting with the above around 9 to 10 hours...

Suits them right for using a low melting point material like aluminum. :D

Sorry, didn't mean to be pedantic. :p

I just really want get that shortlist of x86 slates that can do a solid 5-6hrs with an intensive browser+video workload (similar to Moorhead's).

If anyone has an old x86 slate that could do it, please chime in!

This is the reason I abandoned the x86 devices...Surface Go, Surface Pro 3-4-5-6 all got 4-6 hours of real world work, the Surface Book 2 could almost do 8 hours if I lugged the entire thing around.

I switched to the Galaxy Tab 6 to be able to get full day away from my desk, the SPX is the first device that gives me Windows, thin form factor and all day battery...

I think you have 95% of those reading wondering who the hell is Flip Wilson. At least you didn't pull out a Henny Yougman routine, take my wife, please....

Similar usage on a Samsung Galaxy Book 2, with WiFi and LTE on (I don't keep track of what is connecting) and I get about the same. I'd say I could typically get 12 hours out of it. Speed is fine, even browsing with lots of tabs open. Still in Windows S mode.

I'm happy with the performance of the GB2 for what I'm doing. I'm passing on an upgrade to the SPX at least for now. I'm not saying the SPX isn't worth it but I just don't think upgrading buys me anything.

I also looked at the ipads, I was surprised how expensive.

My GB12 still does it - two years into battery life.
