Has anyone experienced flickering of the screen with their Surface Pro when it returns from sleep/standby?

Did a recording, (please excuse the noise was in clinic when i made the video). This carried on for about 2 minutes.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbapw0lxQec

Spoke with Microsoft on twitter and they suggested setting brightness to automatic. It Happens plugged in & on battery, and still occurred after a factory reset.

    Any thoughts?

Typically what I've observed with Screen Flicker is due to the Video Driver....which driver are you using?

That doesn't look like a driver issue to me. I'd get it serviced right away. Do a backup first. Microsoft probably just swaps them out.

Before you do anything else, what does your event log say...? If it's an execution time event, there should be something recorded.

If not, then I would vote for an electronic fault...

Driver version is 10.18.10.3262 date of 7/31/2013 wddm 1.3 for the Intel hd graphics 4000. Claims to be the most current version available. Would the stock intel drivers install? (or would i have rotation issues?)
I'm going to have to check the event log the next time it happens. Will keep you posted.

You have the Firmware Updates applied? I guess it could be a faulty back-light as well, but you say it happens when comes out of sleep? How long does it take to clear up?

    Firmware updates are installed.

Time to settle varies, for example tried to reproduce it last night no dice, started it up this morning and it was back @ it again....sometimes it's 30 seconds sometimes it will carry on for almost 2 minutes

What should I look for in the event log?

<<...What should I look for in the event log?..>>

...Pretty much any event that occurs during the time that the screen is flickering. Also, look for any similarity to events recorded the last time this happened.

The fact that it "settles" makes me continue to think that it's a mechanical (connector / broken wire) or electronic (bad IC) problem as opposed to a software / firmware issue.

I would concur Steve, its looking to be more hardware related, looks like you'll be entitled to a New to You Refurb :) or its a perfect excuse to trade up....
