So, can one get the new pen and use on a current Surface 3 or Pro 3? What battery does the new pen use?

core m is available for the SP4. 16Gb ram option is expensive! Darn it beaten to it above

SP3 had core Y too.... Core Y is essentially Core M's predecessor. Glad they upped the base storage to 128gb.

I kind of wish we had more options for HDD and RAM with the Core M.

I see that Microsoft seem to be doing their usual trick of announcing when their toys will be available in the US, and keeping the rest of us in the dark... I assume that we won't see anything until at least Q1/Q2 2016.

So who will make the carefully curated Surface Pro 4 thread? (not me) Did you guys notice there's a new tethered dock? I haven't seen any good pictures, but I'm happy this exists. Much more versatile than a docking cradle.

I am not a fan of how you need to go 16gb of ram and i7 to get the 1tb hdd. It would have been really nice to be able to option 1tb hdd with the 8gb of ram and get a core m model with 256gb SSD.

Am I right in thinking that the Windows button on the bezels of the SB and the SP4 is missing? Not surprising, I suppose, it's now redundant with Windows 10, and it gives a little more room for the displays.

The FAQ on the Surface Book says its pen is compatible with other Surface devices.

Does the Surface Pen that works with Surface Book work with other Surface devices?
A: Yes. With Palm Block technology and 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, Surface Pen gives you a surprisingly natural way to mark-up documents and take notes in your own handwriting.

Well, at least there's something I can spend my money on.
