It looks like most of the issues I've been having (Video Driver and Power Management mostly) have been fixed in the latest TH2 Build 10576.

Cube just announced the Cube iwork11, an Intel Atom Cherry Trail-based Wacom EMR penabled tablet with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage and compatible with all of Cube i7 Stylus' accessories, the only difference here being it is at a much more palatable price of $230.

I use fn + delete or fn + backspace to adjust screen brightness.

yea tried the M3 but it was noticeable slower for me... I got a replacement i5 that was much better... the fan only comes in when playing a game but not for day to day tasks. the other unit I had did that.

Just want to say this is an awesome app!!! I paid the 4.99 for it, worth every penny. Now I got back granular control over brightness and volume, and got back my swipes in the Edge browser.

What do you do to see noticeable slower ? The benchmark is closed enough to notice the different on daily task.

The i5 fan will kick in when I play hearthstone or download. That noisy drives me crazy in office.

So it seems many people over at WindowsCentral also reports fan noise problems. I am afraid the fan noise is not going away any time soon, replacement or not. Downclock the CPU is way to go to keep it cool and quiet. Upclock the CPU (and the fan) when you need that extra juice.

As for the Surface trade in program that ends by Nov. 7th, I talked to a MS Store representative and he said the the trade-in discount won't add on top of the education discount. Disappointing. Otherwise I can grab $325 or $250 for my SP1 or S1 towards a new SP4. Also I was told that the trade in is for the tablet only. Don't send your accessories (keyboard, etc) as MS won't add value for that.
