How is it better? I saw one review that said it was light and flimsy just like the SP3. I was hoping for something more like the HP Spectre x2 keyboard which I believe is made from aluminum.

My dream device would be a surfacebook like keyboard with a fanless m7 and 8+GB of RAM tablet, possibly still with a dGPU in the base. The m7 would insure good battery life for the thinner lid to prevent it from being top heavy.

The keyboard should be able to charge the clipboard battery as well.

Oh yeah. Definitely. Maybe the SB 2 will offer that config.

All I have seen is references to the fact it is sturdier; less bounce; better key spacing; better key travel; larger, smoother, glass covered track pad.

If it has all of those improvements, I may have to upgrade. (The keyboard.)

I've only tried it at Best Buy, but the key spacing is really better, and it does have less bounce than the Surface Pro 3 model. I have a pre-order, along with pen and dock, coming next week.

True, but the GPU throttling is night and day compared to the Pro 3 from what I can see here. I believe the only GPU throttling being experienced here is due to the fact that the power delivery has to be shared. The cooling system is not even barely being taxed as seen in the charts below and, per Microsoft, is capable of properly cooling much higher TDP's in processors. Under heavy processing loads, the i5 Pro 4 hovers around 55 Celsius peak, some 25 degrees less than the Pro 3 and some 20 degrees less than the Pro 2. In short, the new hybrid cooling is a revelation.
