Gives me hope that I won't regret a SP4 purchase. So very on the fence right now.

How about fan activity? I only have Outlook and this site (on Chrome) running and the fans are whirring away...

PS - same with Edge; if I don't have any browser open, it is nearly silent, even with four Word docs and Outlook running.

PPS - I just surfed away from TPCR (to Cnet and a couple of others) and the fan stopped. Then came back here and it started to ramp up again - coincidence?

Mine is completely silent with Edge open, even with a ton of tabs open.

Thanks (I think) but read the term "hot bagging" elsewhere...

Man, I'm pissed. Just got a brand new SP4 on Friday. Everything has been running fine, all Updates were installed. Yesterday I put Surface to sleep and after a couple of hours I wanted to wake it up again but after pressing the power button nothing happened. I tried it four or five times but it still wouldn't wake up. Had to do a hard reset. I was told by MS that the sleep problem had been resolved? Seems like they are wrong

The issue HAD been resolved, but the latest firmware/driver combo introduces it again.

What combo is causing the problem?
