    It will not overwrite anything that is "newer". At least that was my experience in doing a refresh, the updates were already there and Windows Update acted accordingly. Why you can't go back when MS releases a borked firmware.

    Packed my SP4 for the trip home, so put it to Sleep. Home fifty minutes later and the battery is down 3% which is better, I'm using Hello. May try installing the video driver from Intel a bit later.

    So what is the advantage of installing the intel drivers manually again?

    @panos get your act together.

    Gen 4 of a product shouldnt be having this many issues.

    To regain access to the Intel HD Graphics Control Panel, installed the beta 15.40.18.4380 driver or v20.19.15.4380 so newer than the hardware update driver.

    Guess I'm going to wait a bit to update since they aren't yet updating the Intel Graphics 540 driver.

    Similar experience here. I just lost 9% during three hours of sleep. Which means I can expect to loose at least 25% overnight (more if I sleep in :rolleyes:). That sure is an improvement alright but I think for the most part, I'll be leaving it plugged in or just using hibernate -like I've been doing.

    Well, 3% per hour is better than nearly 10%, but that still sucks. What happened to "close it and not lose a bit of battery".
