    Excellent, according to Mr Burns.
    Glad it worked.

I keep hoping for the CS fixes soon.... since with hibernate on my SP4 I ran into similar power drain issues....even had issues coming out of it. so please god fix the darn power issues soon....

Yeah they need to push out the CS fix ASAP, which I'm sure they're trying to. My SP4 didn't come out of sleep/would turn on until I plugged it in...but it had 60% battery left. Weird.

It's "cs" how long the CS fix is taking (oops, sorry Steve - I know there is a rant thread for this). I can't wait to see that their "fix" is a more customized power plan that kicks into hibernation quickly...

I think connected standby is a hopeless wreck that should be relegated to smartphones and cellular tablets only.

I'm of the thought it will be similar to what happened with the SP2. MS looks to release the latest Surface with the latest Intel chipset without leveraging the new technology until a later date. At first it is purely, "it fits and runs cooler".

So far hibernate has worked fine for me, but yes I do look forward to the firmware update that will allow me to use sleep instead.

Bought another SP4, this time the i7 model. Wifi is working flawlessly unlike my last model which was an i5. Having no streaming issues at all which is great. Surprisingly, outside of the initial update, I haven't heard the fan come on at all except when I played Borderlands 2, which looked great by the way, and even then the fan was not loud. Very impressed with this machine. I may finally have a keeper.

Mind me asking what lot number that SP4 i7 was, I'm gonna assume newest=best? couple more weeks with this i5/256gb unit that seems to be working more or less okay then I gotta decide if i7 is worth it.

So i had the surface 4 for like 5 days now..no major issues in the beginning.

Just went on my first business trip with it. No problems on the plane.
I put the surface 4 to sleep..... and now im at the meeting and it wont turn on?

I can see the red light of the windows hello turning on...but the screen is black...... im holding down the power and nothing is happening.

    Helllllp... so embarassing
