I wonder if i have a dud battery; fully harged it says just over 3 hrs remaining, which is roughly how long i end up getting from it on default power setting mode. Thoughts?

EDIT: turning off smartscreen filter appears to have improved this

I also plugged in my old wacom intuos for a direct comparison with the surface pen. Bottom line is that for any given shade, you have to press slightly harder with the sp. But you can still get the lightest shade with the sp

From the review I just wonder how gets 6-7 hours of battery life with 50% brightness.
    It's unbelievable.

Mine two m3 never get more than 4-4.5 hours with 50% brightness levels.(just today get rid off by ups the one order from ms store)

If with i5 get that level of battery as neowin mention I will be super super happy and lucky men:p

Little update, because I'm ecstatic: I got accepted to the #2 vet school (don't really care about rankings but whatever)! 4 more years of tablet-PC-educational life.

Right - but few patients bite or kick you in the wrong places...

Ahh, but "I read on the internet..." probably gets more annoying in the long run.

Twitter is to communications as haiku is to literature.
