Mine second m3 unit has very visible light bleeding(total unacceptable) and dead pixel at the center of the screen plus the same annoying electrical noise.
I've already contacted ms support and on Monday I will sent it back.

I'm done with m3 version for good!

Also my first purchased unit from Amazon will be returned too as I'm not happy at all with battery life and having that horrible electrical noise too.

My first unit 1545 lot the second one 1549 and both are total failure.

I'm going to test my luck with i5 version that I've already pre order from Amazon.de(it's not at stock write now but will be soon)

Much as I miss Metro IE, all and any of those three would end my sojourn in Windows 8.1.

    1) With the power button unresponsive like that, and no Windows button on the SP4, there wouldn't be any way to wake it up when using it as a tablet (without a keyboard handy).

    2) No Windows Hello. I love Windows Hello.

    3) That would annoy me, not having a working volume rocker. More than annoy if the other functions associated with the rocker also don't work (screenshot, cold reboot, ...).

My SP4 m3 is nigh perfect (knock on wood) in every respect. No bad/stuck pixels, no mystery buzzing noise, almost no light bleed--minor stuff on the bottom if I put up a black screen and turn brightness all the way up. And it plays Skyrim 1280x800 @ medium settings very smoothly in all situations, hour after hour after hour. Oh, and it runs everything else I use very nicely, too. It feels like a supercomputer after using a Bay Trail CPU w/eMMC exclusively for over a year and a half. ;)

Windows 10 has given me no problems at all on this machine.

Lot number on mine is 1542, bought online from the Microsoft Store. I doubt there are "bad lots", just bad luck within each lot. Those who got defective units have my sympathy.

Well we all have different needs after all.
To me this issue is minor as I don't like or use Cortana neither Windows Hello not even Edge browser.

Also I don't like notifications/action center neither prefer that tablet mode on Windows 10.

To me all the above is downgrade experience and much bothered me than power/volume/button and camera not working.

I haven't do any effort to find solution.

From 3 issue most of all I want the power button to be fixed.

    Maybe with future update resolved.

So, I don't know if anyone else is having this issue but I managed to re-download the Surface App but the problem that caused me to uninstall it in the first place is still happening. Every time I try to adjust the pressure sensitivity it crashes. Is this happening to anyone else and is there a way to fix it?

For the last 30 days or so, I have been using both Microsoft's new Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 as every day computing devices. The goal was to review these items from not just a handful of days of testing and benchmarking, but with some lengthy time under my belt utilizing both products in a real-world environment. The following is my review with that premise. Enjoy!
