    Are you saying that those of us who bought the Pen 4 for our SP3s don't get to update the Surface app?

    Sends overly complicated, Microsoft will probably release a new better driver for SP3. Here's hoping.

    you can always use autohotkey to reassign the buttons

    Sample autohotkey file I used with my original SP4

    Single Click: Open snipping tool
    Double Click: Open desktop version of onenote
    Hold: Reboot Surface (was useful when I would loose touch functionality with initial FW release)

    #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.
    ; #Warn ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors.
    SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.
    SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.

    #F20:: run, SnippingTool.exe
    return

    #F19:: run, "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\ONENOTE.EXE"
    return

    #F18:: run, shutdown.exe -r -t 0
    return

    Hi folks,

    Finally plumped for a SP4 after months of dithering. Bought a second hand i5/4/128 just to test the waters for cheap to see if the hybrid experience can replace my laptop, if it can I will get an i7/16/512.

    Not a good start however, I've just come to set it back to factory settings and all that jazz so its fresh and it's got stuck on 6 percent resetting. I held the power button down and it prompted me with a TPM message, I set it going again but it's not been on 6 percent for 2 hours, any tips greatly appreciated.

    Sounds like you may have bought a lemon, which might explain why the original owner unloaded it. Try to get Microsoft to exchange it.

    It worked perfectly when he showed me it, I had a play around with it and it ran fine, it's just running a reset that is the issue.

    I would just keep doing a hard reboot until it looks like the Reset is progressing and not stalling out, you really have nothing to lose at this point.

    Seems to be working again now, just shot from 6 percent to 54 percent instantly. Looking forwards to using it in anger, the finish on the typecover is lovely.

    Given a lot of people's experience, that could be taken literally!
