I think the target audience for a device like this will probably be in the know, but I guess the SP3 is still attractive enough. I'm looking to get rid of mine now but can't find a suitable fanless replacement at the moment, was going to go for the T300 chi but the keyboard has no backlight. Might just start a thread looking for options, drawing a blank on what's out there.

I thought that I'd like the Lenovo Yoga, which I do, but there's no way for me to deny the sexy nature of the Pro 2/3. I purchased the 512GB i7 version for £940 so should see a chunk of that return when I sell. I usually buy new stuff like the Pro 4 from ebay, via a U.S. company, so see savings there.

Rats! Here I am just loving my week old Surface Pro 3 and you guys are ready to ditch your Pro3 and lust after a Pro4. :(

Yea I don't get the idea of selling before your new one arrives. Of course it will sell for more, but if these devices are really as valuable to us as many of us claim, how can people go without them for a few months?

Agreed - no way I could "make do" without my SPro 3 for a week, much less 2-3 months waiting for my next "best ever" computer.

Does anyone have flickering/brightness adjustment even with adaptive brightness off? I've even disabled Display Power Saving Technology in the Intel Graphics Control Panel but it still seems to adjust the brightness by itself.

Upgrading or downgrading the display drivers doesn't seem to help either...

I found the flickering brightness issue is "worse" with the Intel drivers, versus the drivers from MS firmware updates.

    Could just be me though.
