Editorializing a bit, it's strange that the screen cannot at least be laid flat (or can it? Edit: no, it cannot) to facilitate inking. A yoga style hinge would have made a lot of sense!

The lack of USB-C with TB based docking support is disappointing, at least to me.

Not including Win10Pro out of the box is a bad move imo, it allows for a giant smoke screen of whining internet users (or maybe it's a brilliant move to get people to furiously debate this?)

Not offering a single model without fabric covered keyboard is odd. I already see a lot of people worry about the grime that will eventually build up on the palm rests.

I'm very curious about the sound quality of speakers that don't have any air holes?! Interesting choice!

The weight of the device (2.8 lbs) is perfect imo, especially given the crazy 14.5h battery life (if true) at this screen size. Impressive!

The lack of a decent hinge to make it a convertible or yoga style tenting is a disappointment....

Maybe their intention is that the pen should be used as a hover service?

The specs and price point of this device make it hard for me to understand why it is running a stripped down cloud version of Windows 10. Now, if it was a low powered machine starting at under $500 for students, then running a cloud OS would seem to make more sense. But a system running the latest 7th gen Core i5, i7 processors at $999 seems like it could have just been a sexy surface laptop running Windows 10 and have called it a day. To add to that, you can easily upgrade to full windows 10... Why not just start with the full version and not confuse users like they did with the RT? Also, sadly, the surface pen is NOT included in the box... lame. Beautiful looking piece of hardware that is hampered by odd executive decisions.

Well seems we have to forget the change of a Thunderbolt port on SP5/SB2 wherever being unveiled.

Also don't find any point/meaning for touch display on regular laptop device.

Also hope this movement from MS doesn't mean the death of SP(3-4)or SB form factor.

    It would be totally disappointing.
