Very cool, I was going to make a thread with the words "Digital easel" in it. :) I love the rotation trick that keeps the screen content upright. Slick.

How much? I have been using smartboards for the past 15 years as a trial presentation tool. I would love to have one of these to wheel into trial space and use during my presentation. It seems to be a vast improvement over the original hub.

    Going to guess ~$10k - $12k...

This is one of the first things Microsoft has done lately that would interest me as lately we've got multiple sites collaborating on tons of projects, but there's no way corporate would be on board with the costs. I mean, we're not even on Teams yet (we use on-premises Exchange/Skype for Business instead of Office 365) and from what I've read, most of its collaborative features are based on Teams.

Hell, I just got them to upgrade my site's systems to Office 2016 (and in the meantime Microsoft is pushing towards the release of Office 2019 now. :D )

Man that is one chunky Chelsie...of a pen.

Do you know if they are still using Perceptive Pixel tech, or have they started to integrate that into a unified pen protocol that will eventually merge with other Surface Pens?

That things looks insane....but I hope the screen quality is improved over its predesecor, I’ve played with the previous Surface HUB at the Microsoft store a few times....and working close up, the screen was never really that pretty....fine from a distance, but to interact with it it seemed subpar.

Like for this thing would it be wrong to think of it as a Surface Studio XXL?

It also looks like it uses the same pen as its predecessor (whatever tech its using, always reminded me of EMR), shifting over to MPP/Ntrig would be unlikely given the screen size. That would inflate the price just too much.

The 55" was previously 1080p, and the 84" was previously 4k.

With the Hub 2, it's 50.5" and the resolution is going to be greater than 4k (though they haven't settled on exactly what yet).
