We have almost 3 weeks in the 90s this summer and lots of sunshine...we are the right area for the upcoming era of climate change ;)

    62 degrees!
You only find that on the refrigerator thermometer these days in West Texas!

@jnjroach Of course it's not a deal breaker (as you have very neat handwriting), but every T, H and I in your example has a little fish hook that shouldn't show up in other recent Surface hardware.

The fishhooks at the bottom of a cursive letter remind me of when, in grade school, my Waterman fountain pen tip would start to wear and leave small blobs in the same location. Amazing how far we've come in only 50 years.

Yep - but I get that when doing analog writing as well with a similar pen...for the record I'm not trying to downplay the issue...it's not a deal breaker for me and my needs

@jnjroach You're referring to the hooks at the top of your strokes, which are "intentional," but I'm looking at the ones at the bottom which are artifacts caused by the pen nib sticking or the digitizer failing to register the tip leaving the surface.

Just a quick aside. ON 2016 can be configured to have Notebooks not pinned, Tabs on the top and page "tabs" on the right. The result is that you can quickly access Notebook, Tab and Page navigation and still have the writing canvas directly on the left side of the screen.

On ON UWP, the only way to have the canvas left justified is to view page in full screen mode. There is no configuration to allow Notebook, Tab and Page navigation moved away from the left side of the screen. So page navigation will always take extra clicks on the UWP.

Hope it works out for you. Windows Central posts another video comparing SG to S3:

...and an older one comparing SG to iPad:

And out of curiosity, why do you list LTE/256GB. Was this announced? Or just more hope? The current non-LTE model maxes out at 128GB.
