To go from :vbtongue: to  on Thunderbolt 3 seems a bit fast for the Surface team. Maybe it will happen, and USB-C will become the standard for a while from phones to desktops (with a mixture of TB3 and TB4 in between).

Since I'm already invested in a Dock that operates off the Surface Connector, I'm fine with them emulating it in a Surface Go refit.

On the other hand, the other day I bought a compact USB-C dock with Power Delivery, 4K HDMI, couple of USB3, USB-C data, for $20. It hasn't set my apartment on fire yet. Admittedly no multi-monitor, but if you don't need that, the Surface dock isn't that much of a reason to hang on to a proprietary connector.

Unless you are corporate America and can't stand an under five year useful life for peripherals...that's what MS always uses as its excuse for not changing/adopting new technology (aka Thunderbolt 3)...

I'd take one if it had a Qualcomm processor, Galaxy Book2 battery life, and Go pricing. Am I asking for too much here? :D

, I want one with a 7nm AMD apu, would be a perfect upgrade for my current Pro 1. :)
(AMD Ryzen 3 4300U could be realistic for a low price, possibly slightly underclocked for better battery life)

Hey @Bronsky - do you think there is a SG2 around the corner? Best Buy is selling the 8gb/128gb model for $399 ($150 off). With Type Cover $499...
