@lovelaptops — if distrust isn't a valid enough reason, let's just say I dislike Google much more than the others for my own personal, fickle reasons and therefore don't choose to use their stuff any more than I need to.

I have to say...I love these spontaneous expositions, equal parts philosophy and tech nerdery. It makes reading any thread on this forum such a joy.

On TPCR, you never know if you're going get tech specs, an interesting anecdote perhaps, or full on lesson in psychology and socio-economics. Often all of it at once. :)

(And can you believe you said that much in just one sentence! :D)

I'm sorry if I implied that your own distrust wasn't enough of a reason for you to make the decisions you do. As @Marty , below, points out, I was just extemporaneously pontificating and, honestly, expressing my view that I think there is ample reason to distrust them all. As for disliking Google more than the others, that is your prerogative and you will find ample evidence to support that position. Again, I never meant to take suggest your opinions and actions were not entirely valid; sorry if I went overboard.

Be careful Marty, you're encouraging a dangerous indulgence of mine! :vbeek:

Yeah, edge is to default on my GN8 and every other. However, I’ve not experienced any lag in Chrome on the SG yet, though I set it to not have any background apps running when it’s closed. Just like the look and feel of edge.

...wait a minute....ok curious, is it a 'lawyer thing' to come up with legal oxymorons?

(Funny that list doesn't contain my top pick: the "honest lawyer" :p)

Now, to return to our regularly scheduled programming...

As you all know, I chose the HP Spectre Folio over the Surface Go. It's beautiful, excellent design, near perfect 2-in-1 function - BUT - there are major performance issues with the Y series processor, particularly Thunderbolt, and to a lesser extent Bluetooth connections. If you are trying to decide between the two, check out the Folio Thread HP Spectre Folio
