Updated the Go to W10Pro. Nice to have everything bit-locked.

But, after installing W10Pro, look what it did to my SSD benchmarks with Bitlocker on!!:vbeek:

These are even worse then the scores from the other day, when I had W10Home and no Bitlocker on the SD card. Look at the score for 4KiB Q1T1. Is it possible that the read speed is almost half the write speed? What is going on with my drive? I'll have to run it with Bitlocker off to see what is going on.

I can understand write-speed impacts from Bitlocker, but the odd Read drop makes me wonder if it isn't a processor problem as much as the SSD?

Ah. Good. Shouldn't be too long, now...

Hope it is soon, but the Galaxy Book 2 received its FCC clearance a month ago and still no word...

Yeah those numbers don't look good and don't match mine now with the fall update.
@Bronsky I feel like I'm getting further out there, but the only other variable I can think of is that when I got my go, my company IT set it up for me because I needed pro and a specific VM. I know that SOP with a new machine is to load it with a company approved software image.

Is it possible that there's something off with the way the come from the factory? I realize that reset/reload would be a colossal pain...

PS: The company is still saying early November for the 256/LTE version to be available

After doing what you suggested and removing Bitlocker, my write speeds were in the +500 range. Now, however, they are back down to the speeds you are experiencing. I'm on Windows 10 Home, BTW.

Sorry to always be Debbie Downer around here, but why in the H can't Microsoft get their software to at least work ON THEIR OWN HARDWARE?

The company is a real disgrace. Always out the door with less than half-baked devices.

I was at Best Buy yesterday evening, so I took the opportunity to ask when the Go with LTE would be available. The sales rep said that there had been no word, but he thought it likely that it might arrive along with the Surface Pro 6, so in about two weeks.

That actually sounded reasonable to me...
